What's in your candle?
When it comes to candles, they're not all made equal!
Chances are you've seen big words like phthalate-free thrown around, but what the heck does that even mean?. We're glad you asked!
Phthalates are typically used to make fragrances stronger and are known as "plasticizers," which means that they help plastics retain their strength while still remaining flexible. So what's the big deal?
The problem lies in the type of phthalates used and the amount; some phthalates are considered safe in small amounts, and others are not, and those that are not can cause damage to the liver, kidney, and lungs. BIG YIKES.
We may be petty, but safety is important to us, so that is why we are proud to use phthalate-free fragrances in all of our candles. So go forth and be petty, and know that we got your back!
